Official: Russian oil exporters report no troubles with Feb deals
MOSCOW, Jan 11 (PRIME) – Russia’s February export contracts are already signed with no reports by companies on problems with the embargo or a price ceiling, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Wednesday.
"We are in constant contact with the companies. Booking for February has been finished. And, in general, companies have not said that they had problems with contracts," Novak said.
Some clients asked the exporters to take into account the price ceiling in their agreements, but the Russian government ordered to disregard the term, he said.
A high discount on Russian oil is due to a high freight price, including the risks of transport companies, but Novak expects an oil price discount reduction in the future, he said.
